A free Jackbox-style party game you can start in your browser

SuperQuiz is a free website for Jackbox-style party games: one screen hosts the game and everyone plays on their own phone with a 4-letter room code. Its party game, Banate Raho, is a bluffing game for 2 to 10 players in the same family as Psych! and Fibbage. Nobody has to buy anything, install an app or create an account.

How SuperQuiz compares with Jackbox

Jackbox Games makes paid party packs: one person buys and runs the game, and everyone else joins at jackbox.tv on their phone. SuperQuiz works the same way at the table, but it is free and runs entirely in a web browser. The host opens superquiz.com on a TV, laptop or phone, players scan the QR code or type the 4-letter code, and the game starts. The trade-offs are honest ones: SuperQuiz has one party game today rather than a whole pack, rooms hold up to 10 players, and there is no audience mode yet. SuperQuiz is independent and is not affiliated with Jackbox Games.

Banate Raho: write a lie, find the truth

Each round shows a real question with a hidden answer. Everyone writes a believable fake answer on their phone, then all the answers appear together and players vote for the one they think is true. You score for finding the truth and for every friend who falls for your lie. The host, Captain Bluff, reads the questions aloud, reacts to the votes and slips in a fake answer of his own. Some decks drop the right answer altogether and the group votes for the funniest reply instead.

What you need to play

You need one screen everyone can see and one phone per player. The screen can be a TV with a browser, a laptop on the coffee table, or a shared screen on a video call. Games run 5, 7 or 10 rounds, and a 7-round game takes about 15 minutes. Questions marked 18+ are switched off unless the host turns them on. There are 15 decks and 1,095 questions; several decks are themed around Bollywood and Indian pop culture, so pick Fun Facts, Fill In The Blanks or New Phone Who Dis for a general crowd.

More to play between rounds

SuperQuiz also has six free solo quiz games you can pass around or put on the big screen. Think has 516 picture puzzles, Guess the Movie has 535 minimalist movie posters, Logo Quiz Battle gives you five seconds per logo across 869 brands, and Hollywood Hero turns movie trivia into 49 levels of mini-games. Progress is saved in your browser, so there is nothing to sign up for.
