Each puzzle in Guess the Movie is a pared-back poster that hints at a well-known Hollywood film through one image or idea. You type the title. If you are stuck, you can read a short plot summary or reveal letters. The 535 movies are spread over 22 levels, starting with famous titles and getting harder. It is a good game to put on a TV and solve as a group.
Guess the Movie 2 mixes four puzzle styles: a famous character, a signature prop, a row of emoji, or two pictures that spell out the title. You build each answer from letter tiles, which keeps it playable on a phone. There are 279 puzzles across 28 levels. The emoji rounds are the closest thing to the emoji movie quizzes people share online, but with a game around them.
Hollywood Hero follows a wannabe actor trying to make it in Los Angeles. To move up, you beat timed mini-games about film: name the film from a famous quote, match the tagline, name the movie from its title font, read an emoji plot, decode a cave painting or play movie hangman. There are 12 mini-game types across 49 levels, each hosted by a movie character.
For a group, Banate Raho has a movie deck: players read a short plot summary, write a fake film title, and then try to pick the real one from everyone's inventions. Be aware that this deck uses Bollywood films, so it suits groups who know Hindi cinema. For Hollywood fans, the solo movie games work better on a shared screen with everyone calling out answers.
